Eat This Suffer That - Edi. 3

Today I am featuring a treat that is actually not that bad at all! In fact, it is rather guiltless!

McDonalds Vanilla ice cream cone!

At only 150 calories and 3grams of fat, it is surprisingly a good choice for dessert! This is because it is made with milk rather than cream. Plus, the cone means you won't be tempted by a whole tub sitting in front of you!

If you eat this, you can work it off by :
  • 42 minutes of walking
  • 23 minutes hard cycling
  • 12 minutes swimming briskly
Not too bad! I think I choose the ice cream!

Eat This - Suffer That Segment 2

Segment 2:  Peanut butter cups

Peanut butter cups contain 90 calories each.
Average package has 3 cups.
Thus, a average pack of peanut butter cups is 270 calories.

Now what do you ask can burn off 270 calories?

- 50 minutes of aqua aerobic
- An hour and 10 minutes of golf
- An hour and 15 minutes of ballroom dancing
- 50 minutes mowing the lawn
Now ask yourself - Eat it or Leave it?

Fancy Candy

I got asked to use my candy for an english high tea wedding photoshoot! I decided I would use some vintage paper cones to hold the candy - cellophane seemed so low class compared to the beautiful antique looking postcard paper I found at Michael's! I lined the cones with parchment punched into a lace pattern, and used uncolored unflavoured candy to keep the vintage feel of the shoot. I haven't received the photos, but here is what I came up with photographed with my own camera

Eat this - Suffer that

Ive decided how I can merge my candy obsession with my day job as a nutritionist! This segment is going to be called "eat this - suffer that". Basically, I will feature one candy a day, and show what type of activity you would have to do to burn it off - and for how long!  You can leave comments on whether you would eat it or leave it.

Segment 1 - Jelly beans

Jelly beans contain 41 calories on average for 10g
Average candy bag is 64g
Thus, a average bag of jelly beans would be 262 calories.

Now what do you ask can burn off 262 calories?

1 full hour of volleyball
an hour of gardening vigorously
1 hour walking
45 minutes on a stationary bike at a moderate pace

Now ask yourself - Eat it or Leave it?
